Michael P. Rittorno

Michael P. Rittorno, Age 88, of McHenry, Illinois, passed away on June 20, 2021, at The Cottages- Memory Care Unit. He was born on January 13, 1933, to Michael and Rose (Penio) Rittorno in Chicago, IL. On January 16, 1954, he was united in marriage to Isabelle Abbinanti in Chicago, IL.

Mike was a loving husband, an amazing Dad and role model. He was devoted, helpful, kind, fun, caring, very hardworking, helpful around the house, determined, sociable, funny, and quick-witted. He worked as a machinist for 42 years at Intermatic Inc. He loves spending time with family, fishing, bowling, golfing, camping, dancing, painting, telling stories, photography, music, traveling, and the outdoors.

Michael is survived by his wife Isabelle; his siblings Mary Jane, Joseph, and half-sister Johanna; his sons Mitchell (Sherry), Mark (Donna), Matthew (Jill) and his daughter Gina (James) Rittorno-McLeod; Grandchildren Michael, Joseph (Lindsey), Matthew (Nancee), Alyssa (Jason), Tia (Troy), Gianna, Alex, and Trevor; Great-grandchildren Anthony (Courtney), Luca, Jackson, Annabelle, Nikolai, Dylan, Rinley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert.

A memorial service will be held on July 9, 2021 at Justen Funeral Home and crematory 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry 3:00 – 6:00 PM. A funeral blessing will be at 6:00 PM.
