Michael W. Caldwell, age 50, of Round Lake Beach passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at his home.
He was born February 13, 1956 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Warren and Iris Caldwell. On March 13, 1980 he married Lora Ann Barnett in Waukegan.
Formerly of Wauconda, Michael moved to Round Lake in 1979. He was employed as a maintenance engineer for school District Unit 116 for 27 years. He was also owner and operator of Big Red & Sons snow plowing and snow removal service.
He enjoyed motorcycling on his Harley Davidson, was a big fan of the Detroit Lions, Pistons and Tigers and loved his Michigan Wolverines.
Survivors include his wife Lora Ann of 27 years; three children, Thomas (Christina) Schultz of Wonder Lake, Jeffrey (Heather) Caldwell of Lake Villa, Terra Caldwell of Round Lake; five grandchildren, Kati, Jonathan, Blake, Lindsey, Karissa; two sisters, Maryann (George) Bourland of Jackson, Tenn., Karen (Keith) Risi of Millidgeville, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court (at Cedar Lake Rd), Round Lake.
The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at the funeral home, the Rev. Lisle Kaurrman will officiate.
