Michael Zimmerman, age 49 of McHenry, IL, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2022. He was born on February 14, 1973, in Chicago, IL, to David John and Kathryn (Unverzagt) Zimmerman.

Michael was a very accomplished champion wrestler at McHenry High School. He was a very loving, kind, and generous person. He loved all sports and enjoyed fishing. He was very strong in his faith. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.

Michael is survived by his mother, Kathryn (Gerald) Schacht, his father, David (Ann) Zimmerman, his brothers; David (Lisa), Robert (Kelly) and a sister Karen.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Junice U., Dorothy Z., Dorothy S. and his grandfathers, David Sr., and Norbert.

We always wanted to thank the whole team for their support, when we lost Chris our son in a motorcycle accident when he was just a freshmen.
