Patrick W. Farrell, 57, of McHenry, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at his home after a courageous battle of almost 13 months with pancreatic cancer.
Pat is a 1970 graduate of Carthage High School in Carthage, Illinois and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1975 from Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois.
He was employed by the City of Crystal Lake, Public Works Department for 26 years.
Pat will always be remembered for his good nature personality and zest for life. He enjoyed watching & playing sports, assisting coaching his children through the MAYC programs, golfing, fishing, cooking and gardening around the house; but the most enjoyment was spending time & vacationing with his loving family.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sandra (nee Garza), a daughter, Kristina; a son, Ryan; a son, Dustin Hunt of Princeton, Indiana; and a sister, Charlotte Flanagan of Canton, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl W. Farrell and Marie (Adams) Farrell.

A memorial visitation will be on Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., with Pastor Jason Beardsley officiating.
Interment will be private.
