Roberta Lee Thomason passed away suddenly on March 1, 2022, at the age of 67.  She was born on December 5, 1954, in Chicago, IL, to Robert and Geraldine (Barabasz) Judycki.  She met and married the love of her life Calvert Thomason on June 10, 1978.

Roberta obtained her Associates in Nursing and had worked as a Director of Nursing and MDS Coordinator.  She had other specialties within nursing and was always willing to learn more. She loved working in nursing homes and really enjoyed working at the Geneva Lake Manor. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her family and playing with and babysitting her many grandchildren. She was always taking them to different programs like AWANA’S, Girl Scouts, and camps. She loved to travel with her family and was planning her next great adventure to Florida.

She will be desperately missed by all of those she’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband; Calvert, her loving children; Angela, Jennifer, Christopher and Brina, her granddaughters; Taylor, Trista, Kaylee, Kristen, Lydia, her grandsons; Michael, Frank, Quinn, Jeremiah, Jaren, Rion, Christopher, Milo and Logan, and a brother; Randy J. She also held a special place in her heart for her stepchildren; Christine, Celest, Randy, Joette and Dawn as well as all her extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Ryan and her parents, Robert and Geraldine (Barabasz) Judycki.

Visitation will be held at the Justen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 11-1 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at the Woodland Cemetery, 1401 N. Richmond Road, McHenry, IL. In an effort to keep all attendees safe, face coverings are required.
