Roma I. McGrath, age 87, of Wonder Lake, passed away Monday, June 26, at the home of her daughter.
She was born May 24, 1919 in Sturgeon Bay, WI. to Arthur and Gladys (Nelson) Anderson.
Roma retired, with a disability, as cashier for Ford Pharmacy in 1977. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she also sang in the choir. She was a member of the McHenry and the Wonder Lake Senior Citizens Clubs. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle, dixieland music, and was always ready to dance.
Survivors include two children, Charles Bouland of Ingleside, June (Roger) Kurchina of Woodstock; a son-in-law, Ron Elliott of Lake Bluff; five grandchildren, Tom Bouland of Easton, MA., Ron (Murphy) Elliott of Mountain, WI., Jeff Elliott of Lake Bluff, Dana (Jerry) Tilling of Wonder Lake, J.C. Kurchina of Woodstock; four great grandchildren, Easton and Riley Tilling, Veronica and Charlie Elliott.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Bouland (2001); a daughter, Dianne Elliott (2004); a son Kevin McGrath (2001); her parents; a brother, Glen; and two sisters, Lorraine and Carol.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Christ The King Catholic Church, 5006 E. Wonder Lake Road, Wonder Lake.
