Ronald Joseph Passfield, age 52, of Genoa City, WI, died Friday, October 6, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center, following a motor vehicle crash.
He was born September 27, 1965 in Elgin to Ronald George and Rose Marie (Domaszek) Passfield.
Ron was a valued associate of Clariant, working first at their McHenry location and more recently driving to the West Chicago location. He was an avid camper, and loved to fish and enjoyed deer hunting. He was also a devoted NASCAR fan, and enjoyed participating at the demolition Derby at county fairs. Very talented mechanically, Ron also enjoyed being the go-to person to work on items needing repair for family and friends. Ron had a heart of gold and would always offer assistance if he encountered anyone in need.
Survivors include a son, Ronald G. “Josh” of Wonder Lake and Josh’s mother, Tina Passfield; his father, Ronald G. Passfield; five siblings, Daniel (Kim) Campbell, Lori (Carmelo) Pinzon, Jodi Bennett, Kelly (Mark) Herron, and David Passfield; his significant other, Jill Krane; three nephews and five nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Marie, on December 16, 2012.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Following services, cremation will take place prior to inurnment at Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery in Crystal Lake.
