Ronnie Lee Hunt, age 50, of Ingleside, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Vista Medical Center in Waukegan after a 16-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born March 3, 1965 in Libertyville to Ernest Harvey and Geneva (Matlock) Hunt. On April 24, 2004, Ronnie married Nicole Adams at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake.
For the past two years, Ronnie was a cashier at the CVS store in Mundelein. Previously, he was employed in food service at Shoney’s in Kingsport, TN. Before moving to Kingsport, Ronnie was employed for over 20 years in the social services field as a caregiver/counselor at Glenkirk. A loving husband, he was a devoted father to his three young children.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years; Nicole; three children, Austyn, Brandon, and Whisper Hunt; a brother, Eddie (Betty) Hunt; two sisters, Norma (Marty) Nelson and Audrey (David) Beauchamp; many nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Donna (the late Anthony) Stockero; and his father-in-law, John (Annie) Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Jim Arrajj; his twin sisters in infancy, Betty Fay and Frances Kay.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60073. The funeral service will be Thursday 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grant Cemetery.
