Sarah Elizabeth Kovarik, age 68, of McHenry, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at her home. She was born March 11, 1939 in Sun, West Virginia, to Neal and Cora Elizabeth (Hobbs) Canterbury. She married Albert Kovarik on Sept. 24, 1977 in Woodstock.
A resident of McHenry for the past 27 years, she also lived in Carpentersville for 15 years. She was the proprietor of a tax preparation service, TAB Services, for several years.
Enjoyments included pets and animals, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Kovarik; a daughter, Regina Elizabeth (Daniel) Fisher of Algonquin; a son-in-law, Thelbert Walker, Jr. of Carpentersville; two grandchildren, Laura (Randy Kirk) Walker of Algonquin, and Susan (Kenny) Blatz of Algonquin; two great grandchildren, Mason & Deacan; four brothers, Sherman Canterbury, Sherwin Canterbury, Neal Canterbury, Jr., and Jack Canterbury, all of Nashville, TN; and a sister, Melinda Kay Barker of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Jane Cadle, two sons, Gordon Leonard Cadle and William Kovarik
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm Street, McHenry.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
