Des Plaines – Sharlet Michaels, age 87, of Des Plaines, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.
She was born December 7, 1919 in Chicago to Fred and Monica (Walters) Lange.
Raised in Chicago, she moved to Glenview before retiring in the Lake of the Ozarks. She had recently moved to Grayslake.
The majority of her life was spent as a homemaker which allowed her time to be a world traveler. She was an avid pet lover and a soap opera enthusiast. Sharlet was also a doting grandmother and loving great-grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Brent (Patricia) Michaels of Palatine and Terry (Rose) Michaels of Las Vegas, NV; son-in-law, Elvin Dooley of Round Lake; three grandchildren, Kerry Daniels, Patricia Michaels, and Margaret Kolze; four great-grandchildren, Briana, Aidan, Caelia, and Alannah; and a sister, Phyllis (the late Ray) Wilson of Spokane, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Michaels in 2003; her daughter, Adrienne Michaels (November 19, 2006); a great-granddaughter, Shealyn (January 2, 2004); and her parents.
All services were private to the family.
Inurnment in Camdenton, Missouri.
