Stephen E. McGinn, age 80 of Island Lake, IL, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2022. He was born on January 5, 1942, in Elmhurst, IL, to Robert and Frances (Elliott) McGinn. He married the love of his life, Martha Sue Lewis on September 25, 1965, in Warrenville, IL.
Stephen served in the USMC and received the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Sharpshooter’s Badge. He loved classic cars and road racing. He enjoyed traveling and camping.
Stephen is survived by his daughter; Kymberly (Tony) Theiszmann, his grandchildren; Megan Theiszmann and Stephen Theiszmann, and nieces Laurie McGinn (Lisa Shearin) and Erin Lyle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Lewis in February of 2017, his parents, Robert and Frances (Elliott) McGinn and his brother Stanley McGinn.
Interment will take place on Monday, June 27, 2022, 12:00 pm at the Walnut Cemetery, Joseph Street, Walnut, IL.
