Stephen L. Brage age 55, of Lake Villa, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.
He was born May 27, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Gerald and Louise (Raderschadt) Brage.
Stephen was a Lake county resident for the last 20 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War from February 17, 1969 until Jan. 1, 1975. He was a member of the V.F.W.
He enjoyed gardening, old western movies, playing cards, fishing, especially ice fishing, and spending time with his family especially his grandson.
Survivors include five children, Ryan Brage of Burlington, WI., Stephen Brage, Cherise Brage, Crystal Brage, all of Lake Villa, and Kara Brage; a grandson, Carson R. Brage; sisters, Brenda Finley and Linda Turbak both of Rapid City, S.D.; a brother, Leslie “Butch” Brage of Hampshire; and his former wife of 22 years and special friend, Debbie Brage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Brage.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court (at Cedar Lake Road), Round Lake, Il.
The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, at the funeral home. Pastor Michael West will officiate.
Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 14, in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
