Tammy Lynn Selzer, age 54 of Spring Grove, IL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2022. She was born in Waukegan, IL, on September 9, 1967, to William and Marsha (Buchert) Booker. She met and married the love of her life Don, on November 26, 1993, at the Presbyterian Church in Round Lake.
Tammy accomplished many things and had a zest for life that few could match. She was an ordained minister who officiated several family members weddings. Her interests included bird and wildlife watching, scrapbooking and decorating for EVERY holiday. She enjoyed ghost hunting, storm chasing, firework displays and would drive just about anywhere to do any or all.
She lived her life to the fullest, her smile and positive attitude was infectious to all who were blessed to have known her. When asked she would state her greatest love and her greatest accomplishment was her family. As nothing could compare to the joy they gave her each and every day.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband; Don, her children; Christopher (Monica) Martin, Allison Hunter, Rhiannon Selzer, Ryan (Lyndsey) Selzer, Krystal Martin, Brittany (Daniel Portalatin) Zielinski, her grandchildren; Makayla, Jaiden, Athena, Kahlen, Mary Elizabeth, Ayden, River, Hailey, Kennedy, August, Sophia, Addilyn, her mother; Marsha Booker, her siblings; Kandy (Tim Moore) Schorer, Jennifer (Leonard) Studley, Nichole Booker, her nieces and nephews; Amanda (Christopher) Turpin, Michael (Lauren) Powell, Zachary Powell, Stephanie Powell, Kaylee Studley, Chase Parks and many aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held at the Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL, on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm. In an effort to keep all attendees safe, face coverings are required.
