Thomas J. Wilson, age 82, of McHenry, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore.
He was born July 18, 1926 in Chicago to John P. and Margaret (Coyle) Wilson.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Force.
Tom was a longtime resident of McHenry. He managed a farm in the unincorporated areas of McHenry and Lake Counties. He was a longtime member of the ROMEO Club. He will be remembered fondly by his family for his dry humor, quick wit, great advice and devotion to his family.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Kathleen (David) Warnock, Thomas J. (Margaret) Wilson, James F. (Patricia) Wilson Jr., Joseph M. Wilson; great-nieces and nephews, Kerry Jean (Robert) Bohling, JoAnn (Timothy) Streiler, Jennifer (Nate) Wolf, James L. Wilson, Rebecca E. Wilson, Megan L. Wilson, Jenna E. Wilson, John Patrick Wilson; and great great uncle of four.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sister’s, LaVerne and Marguerite; and two brothers, John (Florence) Wilson and James (Antoinette) Wilson Sr.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050.
A funeral blessing will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
